– SBS Teknikk has been our “garage-name” for several years, and we are finally ready to grow and aim bigger. That is why we decided to change our name to Havida, explains Tomas Sund, CEO of the company.

Why Havida?

Tomas explains that the name, like many of their ideas, came late in the evening after a long day of work. They wanted something playful, yet still clearly connected to the work they do. The new name therefore represents both the sea and life — the latter inspired by the Latin word vita.

– We deliver equipment that helps secure life on the fish farms out at sea, so the name felt very natural. It is playful, modern, and feels like us, he says proudly.

With a new name, a new logo, and a clear vision of making the blue industry more sustainable, what once started as a small garage company has now grown into a stronger position in the market.

Havida aims to combine technology, sustainability, and practical experience to develop solutions that work under real conditions along the coastline.

Expanding Internationally

– The goal is for Havida to become the preferred partner when technology meets the blue industry. We will achieve this by continuing to focus on developing and producing our products on the terms of nature and the ocean, concludes Maya Sund.
